With the rising controversies regarding ethanol blend, the Union Government has given their statement. It has been clarified that there are no immediate plans to increase the ethanol blending in petrol surpassing the 20 percent (E20) target. the announcement comes amid the concerns from environmental experts, vehicle owners, and industry stakeholders regarding the engine compatibility, efficiency of fuel, and agricultural resource. It has been stated by the government that any future decision will be dependent on scientific assessment and long-term sustainability.
